ኣባላት ቤት ጽሕፈት ጉዳያት ደቂ ኣንስትዮ ሰልፊ ዲሞክራሲ ህዝቢ ኤርትራ ካብ ኣመሪካ፡ ካናዳ፡ ኣውስትራልያን ኤውሮጳን ዝተሳተፈኦ ኣኼባ ብ4 ሕዳር 2017 ኣካይደን። ኣብዚ ኣኼባአን ህልዊ ኩነታት ኤርትራ ዳህሲሰን ብፍላይ ከኣ፡ ነቲ ኣብ ኣስመራ ብምኽንያት እቲ ኣብ ቤት ትምህርቲ ኣልእስላምያ ብህግደፍ ዝተፈጸመ ግህሰት ሰብኣዊ መሰል ዝተላዕለ ነቲ ተግባር ዝኹንን ሰላማዊ ሰልፊ ብዝምልከት ኣብ ጐድኒ እቶም ግዳያት ደው ከም ዝብላ ኣረጋጊጸን። ከምኡ እውን ኩሉ ኤርትራዊ ዜጋ ኣብዚ ዝካየድ ዘሎ ሓርነታዊ ቃልሲ ብዘይ ኣፈላላይ ብሓባር ክለዓልን ንሃገራዊ ረብሓ ልዕሊ ኩሉ ክሰርዕን ኣዘኻኺረን፡ ካብኣተን ዝድለ ኩሉ ከበርክታ ድልዋት ምህላወን እውን ኣረጋጊጸን።
ምስዚ ብምትሕሓዝ ዓመታዊ መደብ ዕዮ ናይቲ ቤት ጽሕፈትን ምምሕያሽ ምምሕዳሩን ኣብ ዝምልከቱ ዛዕባታት ተመያይጠን። ነቲ ኣብ ውሽጢ ሓደ ዓመት ክስራሕ ዝግበኦ መደብ ዕዮን ኣተገባብራኡን ብዝምልከት ተመያይጠን መደባት ሰሪዐን። ኣብ ምክፍፋል መደብ ስራሕ ከኣ ወ/ሮ ኣስገደት ምሕረትኣብ፡ ወ/ሮ ኣልጋነሽ ያቆብን ወ/ሮ ኣልጋነሽ ይስሃቅን ኣባላት ምምሕዳር ቤት ጽሕፈት ደቂ ኣንስትዮ ኮይነን። ኣብዚ ኣኼባ ንምትእስሳር ደቂ ኣንስትዮ ሰልፊ ደሞክራሲ ህዝቢ ኤርትራ ብዝምልከት ብኣደ ወንበር ናይቲ ምትእስሳር ወ/ሮ ገርግሽ ነጋሽን ምክትላ ወ/ሮ ገነት ሃብተገርግስን ናይ ዝሓለፈ ስረሓት ገምጋም ቀሪቡ።
ኣብዚ ኣኼባ ንተመሃሮ ደቂ ኣንስትዮ ኣብ ሱዳን እትርከብ ቤት ትምህርቲ ወድ-ሸሪፈይ ዝምልከት ፕሮጀክት ኣውጺአን ብዝቐልጠፈ ግዜ ኣብ ግብሪ ዝውዕለሉ መጽናዕቲ ከካይዳ ተሰማሚዐን። ኣብ ርእሲ እዚ ቤት ጽሕፈት ደቂ ኣንስትዮ ሰዲህኤ ምስ ኩለን ኣብ ውድባትን ማሕበራትን ዘለዋን ብውልቀን ዝንቀሳቐሳን ደቂ ኣንስትዮን ሓቢርካ ንምስራሕን ቤት ጽሕፈት ደቂ ኣንስትዮ ሰዲህኤ ንክሕይልን ብዙሓት ከም ዝሳተፈኦ ንምኽኣልን ጻዕረን ከም ዘሐይላ ተሳተፍቲ ኣኼባ ኣረጋጊጸን።

كعادته في وضع كل شيء تحت قبضته المباشرة سعى نظام أسمرا الدكتاتوري الي وضع يده علي مدرسة الضياء الإسلامية الخاصة والمعروفة تقليدياً بمدرسة الأستاذ/ بشير محمد نور. لكنه وجد مقاومةً صامدة من معلمي وطلبة المدرسة وأولياء الأمور. هذا وقد فرضت سلطات النظام علي المدرسة تعليمات وتوجيهات جديدة لم تعهدها من قبل، إنها فرضت عليها تغييراً شاملاً في النواحي التربوية والسلوكية يتعارض تماماً مع ما كانت عليه، حيث منع تدريس مادة الدين وأمر الإناث بترك التحجب أو تغطية الرأس وإباحة الاختلاط بين الجنسين، وتخويفاً للشعب قام النظام باعتقال مدير المدرسة وعدد من المعلمين.
في الحادي والثلاثين من اكتوبر 2017م نظم سكان حي أكريا حيث توجد المدرسة وعدد كبير من بقية أحياء العاصمة مسيرة احتجاج سلمية قابلها عساكر بالضرب بالذخيرة في الهواء لتفريق التظاهرة وتخويف منظميها.
من جهةٍ أخرى تقول الأنباء الواردة من هناك أن عدوى المقاومة الشعبية قد امتدت الي كلٍّ من كرن، أغردات وأفعبت.
ظل النظام باستمرار يتدخل في الشؤون الداخلية للطوائف الدينية ويستولي علي أوقاف وأموال المساجد والكنائس. وكم من رجل دين منتخب من طائفته أبدله بآخر وكم من أديرة وأوقاف صودرت وسجن القائمون عليها. كما أجبر رجال الدين علي العسكرة وأداء ما يسميه بالخدمة الوطنية.
حزب الشعب الديمقراطي الارتري يدين بشدة هذا الاعتداء الغاشم من عساكر النظام علي الشعب البريء الأعزل الذي استخدم الوسائل السلمية في التعبير عن رفضه لما وقع به من انتهاك لحقوقه الانسانية والديمقراطية. كما يطالب في ذات الوقت بالإفراج الفوري عن المعتقلين من معلمين وطلبة وأولياء أمور. كذلك يناشد الجيش والشعب بالداخل والخارج علي الوقوف بجانب المنتفضين علي القمع والقهر.
أيضاً يطلب الحزب من الاتحاد الافريقي وسائر المنابر والمنظمات الدولية أن تدين القمع والكبت الذي يمارسه النظام بحق المدارس التابعة للقطاع الخاص.

ኣብዚ ልዕሊ ሓሙሽተ ሚእቲ ኤርትራውያን ዝተሳተፍዎ ሰላማዊ ሰልፊ፡ ተሳተፍቲ ኣብ ቅድሚ ቤት ጽሕፈት ወጻኢ ጉዳያት ኔዘርላንድስ ዝተፈላለየ ጭረሖታት ኣቃሊሖም፡ ነቲ ሰልፊ ዘንጸባርቕ ጽሑፍ ኣቕሪቦም። ከም መልሲ ነቲ ዝቕረበ መዘክር ከኣ እቲ ጉዳይ ካብ ዝምልከቶም ኣካላት “ዓወት ንምነየልኩም” ዝብል ቅልጡፍ ናይ ደገፍ መልሲ ረኺቡ። ድሕሪ’ዚ እቲ ሰልፊ ናብ ኤምባሲ ኤርትራ ኣብቲ ሃገር ኣምሪሑ፡ ኣብ ቅድሚ እቲ ኤምባሲ ኮይኑ፡ “ውድቀት ንዲክታቶርያዊ ሰርዓት፥ ሕጊ ይንገስ፥ መሰል ሃይማኖት ይከበር፥ ሰራዊት ምክልኻል ኣብ ጎድኒ ውጹዕ ህዝብኻ ደው በል፡ ህዝብኻ ክጭፍጨፍ ሱቕ ኢልካ ኣይትተዓዘብ፡ እሱራት ይፈትሑ ብፍላይ ከኣ ኣቦና ሓጂ ሙሳን እቶም ኣብ ሰላማዊ ሰልፊ ዝተታሓዙን ይፈትሑ፥ ሓድነትና ይደልድል” ዝብሉ ጭረሖታት ኣስሚዑ። ቀጺሉ ከኣ እቲ ኤርትራዊ ሰልፊ ናብ ፓርላማ ኔዘርላንድስ ተጓዒዙ ነቲ ጭረሖታት ዳግማይ ኣቃሊሕዎ።

EPDP Chairman Meets with Party Members Electronically

Mr. Menghesteab Asmerom, Chairman of the Eritrean People's Democratic Party (EPDP) on Sunday, 5 November, held a periodical briefing meeting electrically with the total membership of the party who are located in many parts of the globe. Explained and discussed at the meeting were latest developments that included a conference of Eritreans in Frankfurt; the outcome of regular meetings of the EPDP Central Council and the Executive Committee, and recent events that heated up the struggle against the repressive regime at home and abroad.
The Chairman stated that at the conference in Frankfurt, held between 20-22 October, the EPDP delegation had the opportunity of meeting and discussing with many compatriots the party's 4 June 2017 proposal for joint work in the Eritrean opposition. He strongly reminded party colleagues that working hard to promote the proposal is worth the toil because it is one of the practical steps towards joint action in the fragmented opposition camp.
Regarding the recent EPDP leadership meetings, the Chairman pointed out the key issues given high priority both at the Central Council and Executive Committee levels, and expressed full confidence in the committed involvement of party members at all levels in implementing the action plans with resounding success by effectively confronting possible challenges on the way. In particular, he urged EPDP members to actively engage with other compatriots in strengthening struggle against the lawless anti-people regime in Eritrea.
The rich discussion and question-and-answer session that followed the Chairman's presentation reflected the existing unity of purpose and resolve to further strengthen all working organs of the EPDP while redoubling the engagement with other Eritrean forces struggling for democratic change in the country. There were ample calls caution in every engagement with other forces by making good use of lessons learned.
At concluding the meeting, Mr. Menghesteab Asmerom reiterated his profound admiration for the steadfastness and sacrifices by party members in promoting drawn action plans and promised the continuation of such briefing meetings in the future. He also joined meeting members in paying tribute to Martyr Kiros Woldeab Fessehaye who passed way in Addis Ababa last month. The deceased colleague was one of the most committed and hard working party members in that part of the world.

እዚ ናይ ዕለት 3 ሕዳር 2017 ኣብ ሕምብርቲ ከተማ ሽወደን ስቶክሆልም ዝተኻየደ ሰላማዊ ሰልፊ ኤርትራውያን ብኣገባቡን ልዝበት ተኻፈልቱን ሓድነታዊ ባህሩን: ነቲ ኩሉ ቅድሚ ሕጂ ዝተገብረ ሰላማዊ ሰልፊ ኣንጻር ጒጅለ ህግደፍ ብዝለዓለ ደረጃ ዝዓበየ ክሳብ 1000 ዝጋማገም ህዝቢ ዝተኻፈሎ ኮይኑ ዕላምኡ ዝወቕዐዩ ነይሩ።
ኣብ ሓጺር ግዜ ዝተጸወዐን ዝተዳላወን እኳ ይኹን እምበር ብዚሒ ተኻፍልቲ ዘኹርዕ ኮይኑ ንኹሉ ማሕበራዊ ክፍልታት ሕብረሰብ ዝወከለ ምንባሩ እቲ ኻልእ መልክዑዩ። ደቀንስትዮ: ደቂ ተባዕትዮን ልዕሊ ኹሉ ከኣ እቶም ተስፋ መጻኢት ደሞክራስያዊት ሃገረ ኤርትራ ዝኾነ መንእሰያት ብብዝሒ ምስታፎም ጥራይ ዘይኮነ: ኣብ መደረኦም ካብ ዝተሰምዐ ዘሐብን ንሓድነት ህዝቢ ኤርትራ ዘንጸባረቐ ምንባሩዩ።

እቲ መልእኽቲ ምሕዝነት ሰላማዊ ሰልፊ ንሰፊሕ ህዝብና ላዕላይ ቦታ ዝሃበ ኮይኑ ንጸበብኡ ኣብ መድረኽ ኣውጽኡ ንራህውኡ ብቐጻሊ ልዝብን ሓድነትን ኣንጻር ምልኪ ክቃለስ ድምጹ ዘቃለሐ ሰላማዊ ሰልፊ ምንባሩ ተኻፈልቲ ኣድናቐቶም ብምንባር ታሪኻዊ ፍጻመዩ ኢሎሞ ኣለው።

EPDP Press Statement On Popular Protest in Asmara

News from Asmara had it over the week that the PFDJ regime as usual attempted to interfere in the internal affairs of Al-Diaa Al-Islamia School (commonly known as Ustaz Beshir Mohammed Nur private school) in Asmara and was resisted by the teaching staff, students and their parents. The regime interference included an attempt to impose new guidelines by changing existing school curriculum. It demanded that girls and boys of the school should attend same classes, that girls should not use head-covers and that no religious subjects should be given in Al-Diaa Al-Islamica the school. To further intimidate the general public, the regime arrested the school headmaster and some teachers for having opposed the regime impositions in the private school.
On Tuesday, 31 October 2017, residents of the Akhriya locality of Asmara and environs as well as compatriots in the Eritrean capital came out to peacefully demonstrate their grievances but were immediately confronted by a shooting spree of regime forces bent at terrorizing the people and silencing the popular resistance.
Reports of various sources indicated during the day that the popular resistance was expanding to the towns of Keren, Agordat and Afabet.
The divide and rule tactics of the PFDJ regime and its undue interferences in the affairs of religious institutions and their private properties in the country have been too numerous to list. (Only to cite an example or two), the regime dethroned the legitimate head of the Eritrean Orthodox Church and appointed its own "Patriarch"; interfered in the affairs of monasteries, seizedtheir properties, and even dared to force Eritrean clergy to join its military and "national" services.
The Eritrean People's Democratic Party (EPDP) strongly condemns the Eritrean regime's use of raw force against unarmed demonstrators trying to air out peacefully their grievances. The EPDP also demands the release of all incarcerated teachers, students and parents and calls upon all Eritreans inside the homeland and abroad as well as the Eritrean Defense Forces to stand on the side of their victimized people and reverberate theirr grievances and cries.
Likewise, the EPDP urges the African Union and the rest of the international community to vehemently condemn the recent actions of the Eritrean regime against all private schools in Eritrea.

EPDP Organs, Branches Hold Chain of 6 Meetings During Two Weeks in October

Providing concrete responses by action to recent baseless claims that surfaced in today's uncontrolled social media outlets, EPDP members in Europe and North America held a chain of six meetings during the last two weeks of October 2017 alone to reaffirm dedication to the party line; to the review past performances of their organs and branches and to start implementing the one-year action plans adopted at the recent 8th regular meeting of the party's Central Council.
Seattle Branch Meeting
The EPDP Seattle branch in Washington State met on 15 October to discuss questions raised by a handful party members in North America who wrongly defied leadership decisions related to disciplinary measures taken against wrong-doers in the party, including Mesfin Hagos. The Seattle branch reaffirmed its unflinching respect to and protection of the 2015 EPDP constitution and related party rules and regulations. The meeting fully supported previous and recent Central Council decisions and wished to inform EPDP members outside North America not to worry much about the localized hiccup that occurred in their zone during the past few months. The branch members commended and supported the speedy implementation of the EPDP proposal for joint work in the opposition camp and deeply regretted the waste of time by certain individuals whose words and actions only serve the common enemy of the people and the rest of the opposition camp.
Youth Affairs Office Meeting
Following the 21 October meeting of the Women's Affairs Office which was reported earlier, the Youth Affairs Office of the EPDP Executive Committee held its regular meeting on 26 October and reviewed past performances with identifiable shortcomings that have to be followed up, and the time-frame for implementing the Office's new action plan for year 2017-2018. Both the regular meetings of these two party organs were conducted electronically.
Frankfurt Branch Meeting Attended by Party Chairman
A day after the 14 October meeting of the all-Germany branches meeting in the German financial capital of Frankfurt (also reported earlier), the EPDP branch for Frankfurt and Environs also held its regular monthly meeting on 15 October at which EPDP Chairman Menghesteab Asmerom was present. The monthly meeting was briefed on latest developments within the party, the opposition camp as well as events taking place in the Horn of Africa Red Sea regions. In relation to party matters, emphasis was given the objectives of and expectations from the unity proposal and the party renewal programme underway.
Party Chairman Menghesteab Asmerom took the opportunity of his attendance of the branch meeting to explain about a recent meeting he and his delegation attended in Berlin with important governmental and party officials to discuss problems of Eritrean refugees in Germany. He underlined the importance of the issues discussed at the Berlin meeting on future action to assist Eritrean refugees in Germany.
Meetings in Oslo
On 14 October 2017, the Oslo branch held its 7th congress in the presence of two Executive Committee members of the party, Mr. Tesfai Woldemichael (Degiga), head for Organizational Affairs, and Mr. Medhanie Habtezghi, head of Youth Affairs Office. It is to be recalled that the two EPDP leadership members earlier on 14 October led a public meeting which discussed hot issues of the hour, including the urgency of joint work by forces opposed to the dictatorship at home.
EPDP Women's Affairs Admin Holds First Meeting with New Head of Office

The Europe-zone administrative committee of the EPDP Women's Affairs Office on 21 October 2017 held its first meeting called by deputy head of the office, Ms Alganesh Yisahaq, who warmly welcomed and congratulated Ms Adiam Teffera for obtaining the confidence of the Central Council to lead the office.
This was the first meeting the administrative committee held since the conclusion of the 8th regular meeting of the party's Central Council last month. Ms Alganesh Yacob, member of the Europe zone for the office explained in great detail the situation in the zone and the office's past activities and challenges in Europe.
The meeting discussed the new work plan Ms Adiam presented for the year ahead, and agreed on time frame within which all EPDP women's groups within the various party branches and zones could meet and enrich the work plan for effective implementation.
It is to be recalled that the Women's Affairs Office has been one of the nine executive offices of the EPDP since a long time. Ms Eritra Alazar has been its committed head for the past eight years.
Also to be recalled is that the second EPDP Congress held in the summer of 2015 elected a leadership which consisted of five women activists in the party.
